A temporary fibre optic network based on our field cables provides an excellent solution when a fast and stable connection is needed without a permanent installation. The lightweight and easily transportable cables are suitable not only for security and defense applications but also for large public events, exhibitions, and sporting competitions.

Lightweight and durable cable

The fibre optic units are delivered on hand reels in lengths tailored to customer needs. These transportable fibre optic cable units are flexible and designed to withstand demanding use. They are ideal for temporary installations where cables are repeatedly handled and routed, even in confined spaces.

Two cable structures are available:

• 2-fibre FTMRMU – black field fibre cable for outdoor use
• 4-fibre FTMSU – light gray indoor/outdoor cable for versatile applications

Cables are supplied on special 1-hand reels, but units longer than 300 meters are packed on small field cable reels for easier handling. The core of the cables consists of G.657.A1 single-mode fibres.

Reliable connectors and couplings

The fibre cable units use expanded beam connectors that ensure precise fibre alignment and a secure connection between fibres. This guarantees reliable performance even after multiple installation and disassembly cycles.

Available connector options include:

• SC/UPC and SC/APC
• LC/UPC and LC/UPC duplex
• IP-LC – waterproof connector
