The Nestor Steel Closure product family from Nestor Cables has been expanded with a very compact Nestor Steel Closure Extra Small joint closure, designed for locations where space is limited. The Nestor Steel Closure Extra Small is suitable for all applications where splicing and branching are done either directly in the ground or inside manholes. The splice closure has been designed with easy installation in mind.

The new splice closure offers capacity for up to 24 fibre splices. Its dimensions are only 276 x 58.2 x 43.5 mm, making it extremely compact in size, yet its performance matches that of larger products.

The joint closure’s durable structure is suitable for demanding conditions, providing a longlasting solution for various fibre optic networks. Its IP68 rating ensures protection against dust and water. It is made of acid-resistant stainless steel, ensuring that the closure withstands years of stress even in harsh weather and terrain conditions.

Installation of the Nestor Steel Closure Extra Small is quick and straightforward. It is sealed with an easy-to-use mechanical seal, reducing time spent onsite and speeding up network commissioning. Mechanical seals are available from Nestor Cables for cable diameters up to 23 mm. The closure also includes clear mounting and grounding points for incoming cables.

The Nestor Steel Closure Extra Small is a solution that combines compact size, durability, and effortless installation. It allows you to build fibre optic networks that serve end customers reliably year after year.

When greater splice capacity is needed, the Nestor Steel Closure product family also includes the Nestor Steel Closure Small and Nestor Steel Closure Medium. Thanks to their modular structure, their splice capacity can be increased easily with additional splice trays. The smaller closure offers capacity for up to 72 fibre splices, while the medium version can handle up to 288 fibre splices.
