Cable information
Welcome to our cable information page, where you’ll find essential general knowledge about cables. Explore the colour coding systems of cables, and learn about the drums used to safely transport and store cables. You can also browse the books we have published, all collected here for easy reference.
Information about cable drums
Most of the cable products are delivered to customers by using drums made of wood, plywood or plastic. See the measurements of the drums, and learn how the drums should be handled to protect the cables.
Colour codes of the fibre optic cables
We often manufacture cables following these standard colour systems: FIN2012, ANSI/TIA and DIN/VDE. In addition to the standards mentioned, we can also customise the colour coding to meet customer requirements.
Books
Over the years, we have published several books on fibre optics aimed at professionals and students interested in the field. Our books take a practical approach to fibre optics while also providing extensive in-depth information to support learning and understanding.
