Aki Eklund 1972–2026 — Visionary and esteemed colleague

Aki Eklund, co-owner and Chief Operating Officer of our company, passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2026. Aki was one of Nestor’s founding members and a key driving force in developing our operations from the very beginning, since 2007. His more than 25 years of experience in the cable industry showed every day in his ability to lead the business and make decisions we could rely on.

Our work community will remember Aki as a versatile force who, through his innovation and determination, drove our company forward and played a central role in our product development, always with our customers’ needs in mind.

As a well-known figure in the industry, Aki leaves a great void behind him, both within our work community and across the entire cable industry.

All of us at Nestor remain grateful as we look back on the years we shared with Aki, and we will miss his presence, his inspiring way of working, and the genuine care he showed for every employee.
