Nestor’s wall-mounted plastic termination boxes are known as OptoBox. The OptoBox product family offers a practical solution for terminating 1–48 fibres, both indoors and outdoors. These products have been developed in collaboration with our customers and are praised for their easy and quick installation.

The minimalist design of OptoBoxes blends seamlesslyinto residential interiors and building facades. The range includes options for different installation environments and fibre counts, from a compact apartment terminal to a larger floor distribution solution. In addition to the design, OptoBox 24 and 48 receive praise for their manufacturing material. Whenever possible, they are made from recycled plastic.

The structure of OptoBoxes makes installation effortless and fast. The termination boxes offer fast network deployment, and even more time is saved when you choose pre-installed pigtail kits instead of the basic configuration.

OptoBox 4

The smallest OptoBox is OptoBox 4, a popular indoor termination box for 1–4 fibres. The box dimensions are 104 x 104 x 21 mm. OptoBox 4 was developed based on the previous NC-105 model and has established itself as the standard building termination point in optical access networks. OptoBox 4 is also suitable for terminating non-metallic cables and as a connection box for pre-terminated indoor cables.

OptoBox 24

OptoBox 24 is a versatile solution for 12–24 fibre connectors. It is suitable for outdoor installation, indoor splicing, or as a floor distribution point. Multiple cable entry options allow flexible cabling and a neat finish. OptoBox 24 is a popular choice for FTTH solutions on building exterior walls. Its dimensions are 156 x 213 x 64 mm.

OptoBox 24 Optimus is a version of OptoBox 24 designed specifically for microduct networks, but it also supports termination of indoor and outdoor cables. 

OptoBox 48

OptoBox 48 is otherwise the same size as OptoBox 24, but its deeper design allows for 24–48 fibre connectors. Its dimensions are 156 x 213 x 96 mm. OptoBox 48 is suitable for terminating and splicing both cables and microducts.

OptoBox 48 Plug and Play Home Kit is designed especially for Plug and Play solutions. The reels inside the termination box allow neat storage of cable overlengths. 

Fibre termination solution for buildings – Everything in one package

Our building termination solution consists of an OptoBox 24 mounted on the building’s exterior wall, an OptoBox 4 for indoor termination, and 15 meters of pre-terminated Cca fire-rated FTMSU indoor/outdoor cable. Other cable lengths are available upon request.

During installation, the outdoor termination box OptoBox 24 receives the underground cable, which is spliced to the indoor/outdoor cable leading inside the building. At the end of the indoor/outdoor cable is the pre-terminated OptoBox 4 indoor termination box. Thanks to the pre-terminated cable, installation on the customer’s side is smooth and hassle-free.
